Favorite moment

Last weekend marked the end of our 2017 wedding calendar. We are done with weddings until the Spring and how we'll miss this work! It's hard to believe how many flowers, hours, and miles that have accumulated this year but looking back, it's so wonderful to see how far we've come. This isn't an easy journey, doing flowers because there are no guarantees when it comes to Mother Nature. We're so grateful for our brides for putting their faith in us and trusting us with their visions. And in the spirit of nostalgia and thankfulness, are sharing a photo of owner, Lydia with a favorite bride and bouquet delivery.

From Lydia:

"This photo is extra special to me because it captures one of my favorite parts of wedding work, delivering the bridal bouquet. Almost always during hair and makeup but this gives me a final, intimate moment with the bride on a day that we have both been planning and anticipating for as long as a year out! This bride came to me at the last minute and we worked out a specific vision quickly and with no time to waste. Her tears of joy upon delivery are the reason my heart beats a little quicker on wedding days. I'm so happy to have worked with this wonderful couple. Thank you for letting me share in your day!"

Already we are looking forward to 2018 and are booking weddings already. Looking forward to more wonderful moments like these! Call or email to schedule your consultation today.

Dreaming of Dahlias

Spring is here for certain and we're so grateful for the land and opportunity to grow dahlias. This summer/fall producer is one of our favorite blossoms, a proud usher of high summer and heat waves. We planted ours a few weeks ago and are starting to see progress! Below is a photo of the first dahlia buds this year at our urban plot at Pop!Farm.

This year we're growing dinner plate dahlias in that widely adored blush-cream hue again. Just for fun we sourced some unique varieties to test out and some more vibrant colors for Fall harvesting. Our neighbors are expecting quite a show! Like the South Americans they are, we have to wait until the dog days of summer to really see them bloom. Dreaming of summer time and dahlias until then. Wishing you an endless start to summer!
